About Us
Founded in 2018 by Vivienne Safranek in Sri Lanka, Cocomo Wear was born as a response to the damaging impact of fast fashion. Inspired by the eye-opening documentary "The True Cost," Vivienne set out on a mission to create a sustainable way to consume clothing while promoting conscious fashion choices.

Previously, Cocomo Wear operated offline through pop-up events across Europe, local markets, and boutique sales in Sri Lanka. We are thrilled to have evolved from our humble beginnings into a brand that values the craftsmanship and ethical practices behind slow fashion. Our bohemian style is a tribute to the "who made my clothes" movement, where each piece tells a unique story.
At Cocomo Wear, we take pride in the fact that every garment is lovingly handmade by our skilled Sri Lankan tailors. We prioritize fair pay and support local communities, particularly empowering talented and hardworking home-based mothers. Collaborating with them creates a positive impact while ensuring our clothing is not produced in traditional garment factories.
What truly sets us apart is our commitment to exclusivity. We produce a limited series of each styling and print, with never more than five pieces made. This means that when you choose Cocomo Wear, you are embracing sustainable fashion and owning a truly one-of-a-kind piece that showcases your individuality.
We are dedicated to ethically and locally sourcing materials, ensuring that each vibrant fabric used in our collections is beautiful and sustainable. By carefully selecting our materials, we prioritize reducing our environmental footprint and supporting local suppliers.

About the desinger
Hi, I'm Vivienne, the heart behind Cocomo Wear. My path in the fashion industry is closely connected to my dedication to yoga, a practice that has been part of my life for more than a decade. This discipline has shaped my ethos and deeply influenced my approach to sustainable fashion. My academic background is in international business relations, with my studies taking place at Oxford Brookes University in Budapest, Hungary, where I am originally from.

My life has been a tapestry of experiences across various continents, including Europe, Asia, and Africa. These rich cultural encounters and the natural beauty I've witnessed in my travels have been a constant source of inspiration.
My current studies at The Design Academy of Fashion in Cape Town intertwine with my commitment to empowering women and nurturing a sense of sisterhood. These elements are integral to the ethos of Cocomo Wear, mirroring a fusion of global influences and a profound respect for our planet and its inhabitants.
